About The Author
I grew up in a orphanage in Massachusetts, and then moved to the suburbs of Boston, with a middle class white family, I was basically the only Black person in town. And for a lot of people in the town, I was the first Black person, they had ever seen, in real life. I went to school as the only Black person, and everything I did, I did as the first Black person in the town, to do that. I just thank God the town was not really racist, and I had and still have friends there. But I know, the way I grew up was different than how most people grew up. And maybe it is that difference, that has helped me see things, the way I see them. I take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.
